RING SIZE GUIDE
How to Measure Your Ring Size
- Cut a thin strip of paper or use a piece of string.
- Wrap it snugly around the base of the finger you wish to wear the ring on.
- Mark the point where the paper overlaps, then measure the length in millimetres — this is your circumference.
- Find your circumference in the table below. We recommend measuring at the end of the day when your fingers are at their largest.
- Between sizes? Choose the larger size — gemstone rings are easier to resize down than up.

PROPERTIES OF BLACK ONYX — GEMSTONE PROPERTIES
Green Onyx is a rich emerald-to-forest-green variety of chalcedony, typically dye-treated to achieve its vibrant, uniform colour. Bold and earthy, it brings a contemporary edge to fine jewellery. Green onyx is associated with growth, renewal, balance, and connection to nature. Its deep green tones make it a sophisticated alternative to emerald and are particularly striking set in oxidised or gold metalwork.
Is Green Onyx the same as Emerald?
No — green onyx is a chalcedony (microcrystalline quartz), while emerald is a variety of beryl. Both are green, but green onyx has a more opaque, uniform appearance, while emerald is typically more transparent with vivid colour and is considerably rarer and more valuable.
What does Green Onyx represent?
Green onyx is associated with nature, renewal, and growth. It is thought to bring balance to the heart, support decision-making, and encourage forward momentum after periods of stagnation. It is linked to the heart chakra in crystal healing traditions.
Is the colour of Green Onyx permanent?
Green onyx is typically dye-treated, and the colour is stable under normal conditions. Avoid prolonged exposure to strong sunlight, harsh chemicals, or ultrasonic cleaners, which can affect the dye over many years.
How should I care for Green Onyx?
Clean with a soft cloth dampened with mild soapy water. Rinse gently and dry immediately. Store in a soft pouch away from harder gemstones. Avoid steam and ultrasonic cleaners.
